Mit Show Me What You Got veröffentlicht die Schweizer World-Psych-Rock-Band Saitün die zweite Single ihres im Januar 2022 erscheinenden Debütalbums Al’Azif.
Hier treffen groovy Hip-Hop-Vibes auf düsteren Alternative-Rock und treten dir ab Sekunde 1 in den Arsch. Die majestätische Hook hat die musikalische Wucht eines gesamten Orchesters, während in den Strophen rasiermesserscharfe Lines über ein solides Fundament aus Gitarren-Riffs, stampfenden Basslines und tighten Beats gerappt werden.

Inhaltlich beschäftigt sich der Song mit dem materialistischen und übersexualisierten Modus der Selbstdarstellung in den Sozialen Medien und greift gleichzeitig das Phänomen der Zensur weiblicher Nippel auf.
Im Musikvideo machen die vier weißen Cis-Männer dann einen auf harte Gangster-Dudes – schon wieder so eine chauvinistische Machokacke? Und das im Jahr 2021? Wird das dem woken Gesellschaftsdiskurs der Gegenwart gerecht? Aber klar doch, und dabei hat der Song auch noch eine eindeutige Message: Free the Nipple!
